Gregory A. Chiles | Grand Master
Gregory A. Chiles of Indiana was installed Grand Master at the 92nd Annual Session in Louisville, Kentucky on June 23, 2012.
Gregory A. Chiles was born in Newport, Rhode Island in 1958. His family moved to central Indiana two months after he was born, where he has continued to live since. Prior to his DeMolay career, Dad Chiles was a Boy Scout, earning his Eagle Scout Award in 1973.
Dad Chiles received the degrees of DeMolay in December 1972 in Beech Grove Chapter. He served as Master Councilor in 1976 while a Senior at Warren Central High School. His DeMolay Honors include Blue Honor Key, Representative DeMolay, Chevalier, Legion of Honor and Cross of Honor. He served Indiana DeMolay as State Master Councilor in 1978-1979. Dad Chiles was appointed as Executive Officer for Indiana in November, 2003 and was elected an Active Member of the Supreme Council at the 85th Anniversary in 2004. Prior to assuming the role of Executive Officer, Dad Chiles served as Conclave Director for Indiana DeMolay for 10 years. He has served two consecutive terms on the Board of Directors of DeMolay International as the Region IV Representative and was Chairman of the Executive Officers Conference in 2009. He was elected Grand Junior Councilor June 19, 2010.
Dad Chiles graduated from Butler University in 1980 with a BS degree in Business Administration. He met and married Dawn Meyerrose in 1982. They have one daughter, Allison, who is a sophomore at Ancilla College.
Dad Chiles is a Charter Member of Frank S. Land Lodge in Indianapolis where he served as Worshipful Master in 1988 and 1998. He is a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, where he served as Most Wise Master from 2006-2008 In August 2006 Dad Chiles received his 33rd Degree in Chicago. He is a member of the York Rite Bodies of Noblesville and a member of the Murat Shrine Indianapolis. He is a Past Patron of Cicero Chapter, OES.
When Dad Chiles is not busy working as the Business Manager for St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church or working for DeMolay, he spends his spare time jogging or coaching various softball or basketball teams. He also is a licensed high school official for basketball and softball.
The Chiles’ are members of Hazel Dell Christian Church, Carmel, IN.

Mike A. Salazar | Grand Senior Councilor
Mike A. Salazar of Northern California was installed Grand Senior Councilor at the 92nd Annual Session in Louisville, Kentucky on June 23, 2012.
Mike A. Salazar was born in Sonora, Mexico in 1952. In 1953 the family moved back to San Jose, California where he lived until graduating for Oak Grove High school. While he was in high school he was active in school activities as President of the Social Action Club and Drum Major of the band. The most important part is that he met his current sweetheart while in high school.
In July 1970 Dad Salazar join the United Sates Marine Corps and worked on the avionics package on the Harrier (jet with vertical take-off capabilities). He helped to test the Harrier capabilities in different environments around the world from deserts, North Atlantic, to jungles. Left active duty in September 1979 with an Honorary Discharge but stayed in the local reserve unit.
Dad Salazar had over 31 years with AT&T when he retired in April of 2010 where he Managed National Teams, Negotiated contracts with national companies and managed the compliance of those contracts, Manage a multi-million dollar budget, Program and Project Managed Technical Documentation Creation and Reviews
Dad Salazar has a BS degree in Management from Southern Illinois University. He married his high school sweetheart Janet Chapman in 1971. They have two children, a daughter, Maria who is a past Honor Queen and Past Jurisdictional Sweetheart a son Michael a Past Jurisdictional Master Councilor. Michael is also the current the DLC Director for the Pacific Coast Conference. They also have one grandson (future DeMolay) Charles Michael and great Son-in-law Steve.
Dad Salazar is a member of Pleasanton Lodge 312 –received the Grand Masters Youth Award 2010 (only 4 a year are given by the Grand Master for those that he thinks made a major difference in helping our Masonic Youth). He is a member of the Grand Lodge Youth Committee for over 8 year and still currently a member. He belongs to the San Francisco Scottish Rite, Asiya Shrine Temple, and Semper Fidelis Order of the Easter Star.
Dad Salazar has served DeMolay is different capacities like District Deputy in charge of supporting 8 chapters, Convention Director in charge of putting together a convention for close to 600 folks for two years, Jurisdictional Dad in charge of training the Jurisdictional Officers and the Divisional Officers plus manage the jurisdictional programs for four year, Assistant Executive Officer over 3 years and Executive Officer over 8 years. His Jurisdiction has received an eagles; for “Best Communications” 2003-2004, “ISC Member of the Year” 2007-2008, “EO of the Year” 2008-2009, “Meeting Planner Award” 2010-2011.

Derek G. Sprague | Grand Junior Councilor
Derek G. Sprague of Oregon was installed Grand Junior Councilor at the 92nd Annual Session in Louisville, Kentucky on June 23, 2012.
Derek G. Sprague was born in Boise, Idaho in 1968 and moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1976 where he joined Bonneville Chapter, Order of DeMolay in 1982. He was installed as Master Councilor in December 1984 and went on to be elected State Master Councilor of Idaho in 1985, while completing his senior year at Idaho Falls High School. While in high school, he was active in school government, jazz band, honor society and was elected a co-captain of the varsity baseball team.
Dad Sprague's DeMolay honors and awards include the Legion of Honor, Degree of Chevalier, Guild of the Leather Apron, Advisor's Honor Key and Founder's Membership Award.
After graduating in 1990 from Boise State University with a BBA in Accountancy, Dad Sprague married his wife Korinda and began his twenty year corporate accounting career that has spanned the aviation, medical consulting and internet services industries.
In 1992 he joined the Idaho Jurisdictional Staff and served as State Dad Advisor from 1994-1998. In 1999, after his election to Deputy Member of the International Supreme Council he assumed the duties of Assistant Executive Officer of Idaho. In 2002, Dad Sprague was elected an Active Member of the International Supreme Council and then appointed Executive Officer in Idaho, where he served until the close of 2005. In 2008 Dad Sprague joined the Oregon Jurisdictional Staff and has served as an Assistant Executive Officer for four years.
In addition to his jurisdictional duties, Dad Sprague also served DeMolay International on the Board of Directors as Region VIII Representative from 2004-2007 and Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee from 2004-2009 and 2010-2012. Furthermore, he served as Treasurer of DeMolay Foundation, Inc. from 2002-2007.
Besides his DeMolay activities, Dad Sprague is a member of both Eagle Rock Lodge #19 AF&AM; in Idaho Falls, and Tigard-Orenomah Lodge #207 AF&AM; in his home town of Tigard, Oregon. Besides his Blue Lodge activities, he is active in the Scottish Rite Valley of Portland and is a member of Al Kader Shrine Temple.
Finally, Dad Sprague was elected President of Oregon DeMolay Endowment Foundation in January 2011 and will complete his second term of office at the close of 2012.
Dad Sprague is an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, most especially college football.

Wesley D. Thornton | Grand Treasurer
Wesley D. Thornton of New Mexico was installed as Grand Treasure at the 92nd Annual Session in Louisville, Kentucky on June 23, 2012.
Wesley D. Thornton is a Texan by birth, and a New Mexican by the grace of God. He graduated from Farmington High School, and began his DeMolay experience in Farmington Chapter (now James H. Gibson Chapter) in 1968, Farmington, New Mexico. He was also a member of New Mexico Knighthood Priory in 1969 and held the offices of Master Councilor and Illustrious Knight Commander simultaneously. His DeMolay Honors include the PMC-MSA, Blue Honor Key, Representative DeMolay Award, Chevalier, Legion of Honor, and Zerubbabel Key. Dad Thornton was elected as a Deputy Member of the Supreme Council at the 75th Anniversary in 1994, and Active Membership in 1998. He has served the New Mexico DeMolay Association as Director of Finance and Information and as Chairman of the Advisory Council of two different chapters. He has served on the Board of Directors of DeMolay International since 2004, as the Region VII Representative for four years and the elected line for three years. He served as Grand Master of DeMolay International in 2010-2011, and is currently the Executive Officer of New Mexico. He was appointed Grand Treasurer of DeMolay International in March of 2012.
Dad Thornton served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. After the Air Force, he returned to college and graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy from New Mexico State University. He met and married Robin Graham while attending college. They have two sons, Andrew and Brian, both of whom are Past State Master Councilors of the New Mexico DeMolay Association.
In 1986, Dad Thornton was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and began Private Practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Brother Thornton is a fourth generation Master Mason and is twice a past master. In 2002 he was appointed as the Charter Master of Edgewood Lodge No. 82 AF&AM;. He is a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Santa Fe and the York Rite Bodies of Farmington. He is also a member of the Ballut Abyad Shrine Center in Albuquerque, where he served as Captain of the Shrine Mounted Patrol and Secretary/Treasurer. He is a Past District Deputy Grand Master, Grand Lodge of New Mexico, Past Treasurer of two lodges and currently is serving the Grand Lodge of New Mexico AF&AM; as Grand Treasurer. He received the 33rd in 2003, and was elected Treasurer of Valley of Santa Fe Lodge of Perfection, a post he held until 2005. He received the Red Cross of Constantine in 2009 from Saint Sophia Conclave.
He has served on the board of Directors of the New Mexico Appaloosa Horse Club, and is presently serving on the DeMolay Foundation of New Mexico board of directors as Secretary/Treasurer.
The Thornton's are members of the Covenant Untied Methodist Church, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Joe A. Williams | Grand Secretary
Joe A. Williams of Oklahoma was installed Grand Secretary at the 92nd Annual Session in Louisville, Kentucky on June 23, 2012.
Brother Williams joined Guymon Chapter in Guymon, Oklahoma in 1952, where he served as Master Councilor. He was awarded the Representative DeMolay, Blue Honor Key, and Chevalier. He is a PSMC of Oklahoma. Williams was a Director of Conclave and a Director of Workshop for Oklahoma DeMolay. He holds a DeMolay Cross of Honor and Legion of Honor.
Williams was Executive Officer of Oklahoma from 1981 – 1993 and served as chairman of the Executive Officer’s Conference. He is a Frank S. Land Fellow I and II of DeMolay International. He served on staff of several Leadership Training Conferences. Dad Williams is a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason and serves on the Youth Committee of the Imperial Shrine of North America. He served as a JAG officer in the United States Navy and presently serves as the President of a Charitable Foundation in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He was elected Grand Junior Councilor in 1992 and progressed through the elected line, serving as Grand Master from 1995 – 1996.
